Currently 04 // The Spending Ban

Reading // Marked by Kristen Cast and P. C. Cast - This is the first book in the House Of Night series which is currently 11 books, woah. I'm one of those people who HAS to read the whole series before I start another book, so this could be a long one! I love vampire (or vampyre in this case) books and this is no different. My lady, Kerry brought me the first 5 and as soon as I started reading Marked, I was hooked! So hopefully this will be a good series!

Listening to // Ron Pope, Punk Goes Pop, Disney Soundtracks - Stu got Spotify with his new phone so I've cheekily downloaded it onto mine and made a few (too many) playlists! I've rekindled my love for Ron Pope and downloaded all the Punk goes Pop albums cause I'm clearly a secret closet goth that loves pop. I'm also loving prancing about to Disney songs at the moment, mainly Lion King. Shouting 'I just can't wait to be King' weirdly puts me in a good mood...

Thinking about // Still finishing Uni - I finish on the 8th of May. Thats pretty much a week today, and hell I still have so much work to do, but I'm feeling so motivated at the minute because I know once I get it done, that's it. I never have to do it again! We also booked Vegas last month! Vegas! Of all places! I am more than excited, it's something I never thought I'd get the chance to do. We have so much planned already even though we don't go till 23rd February next year! But still, eeeeeee <3

Loving // Lambing. Last month I did two lambing shifts. I've lambed before, but I was too young to appreciate it (16) and this time it was so much better. And so much harder work! But seeing the lambs at the end of it all, makes me realise why I'm trying so hard at Uni, I want the animal life!

Watching // Desperate Housewives. Surprise surprise. And also Gogglebox! Whoever doesn't love Gogglebox is no friend of mine (not really) (really). Such an amazing programme and me and Stu stay in every Friday so we can watch it. Don't judge.

Looking forward to // Tomorrow I'm going to Eden Hall Spa with my mum and Stuart's mum and sister. It's gonna be nice to get the chance to relax and clear my mind ready for the hectic last few days of Uni. Then obviously I'm looking forward to finishing Uni and then at the end of the month we have Slam Dunk! I've offered to drive (cause I can drive legally now, not bragging or anything) because it's just me and the guys and I'm not too fussed about having a drink! Another exciting month ahead for me!

The Spending Ban

How well this is going to go, I have no idea, but I'm giving it a shot. I have SO much to save for at the moment. Vegas, car, house, holiday. So I'm putting myself on a spending ban. No make-up, no nail varnish (noooooooooooooooooooo) no clothes, nothing. Unless I run out of the things I use everyday for example - make-up wipes, cleanser, toner - then I will re-purchase but I spend an unspeakable amount of junk that I don't use every month, so I'm going to put everything I have into not spending a penny this month! I'll update you at the end of the month on how I've done! If anyone has any tips or knows any money-saving blogs, then please let me know in the comments!

Thanks guys!

  1. I've actually had the same idea of a purchase pause for at least May, maybe even June, for different but similar reasons, but haven't blogged about it yet.
