A Day of Pure Happiness

A few months ago, my family and I were invited to my cousin's wedding, up in Wales. Having not really been to a big, lavish wedding before, I was really excited. So we got ourselves dolled up and at 7am, on a Saturday morning (even earlier than for work, sad face) we jumped in the car and drove 3 hours, in beautiful, unexpected weather, to Wales. This post is quite picture heavy, so beware!

When we arrived at The Great House (which was the most beautiful, little pub slash inn), we were greeted by THEE cutest mini buses I have literally ever seen (which I cannot for the life of me, find pictures of). It was right then, that I realised it was going to be a gorgeous day.

This is where we all met up before the wedding and were then taken, on the awesome buses, to the church. This is also where we came after the wedding for the reception.

Obviously we made the most of the beautiful gardens and took some nice, little pictures! I don't have many nice family pictures, so these are a great addition!

My cousin, (the groom) with my Nan - who is the centre of our whole family - just before we set off for the church (which is pictured underneath). It was smaller than I thought it would be, which just added to the cuteness of the whole day.

We didn't get any pictures of the ceremony (I think it's quite intrusive and distracting, unless you're the hired photographer of course) but as soon as we stepped outside (into the amazingly bright sunshine) we got snap happy. Here's just a few of my favourites.

After the ceremony, we went back to The Great House for food, speeches and disco times. Me being me, complained that I was cold, so didn't spend much time sat outside and went inside for the disco as soon as possible!

Beautiful first dance for the happy couple. We all joined shortly after. There are photos, but they are faaar too unflattering for your beady little eyes to see! Sorry ;)

At the end of the night, we dug out some wigs and fancy dress and got a little cray. It was such a giggle and seeing my sister in an Elvis wig and glasses had me in stitches for at least an hour.

All in all, it was an amazingly beautiful day and I was honoured and proud to be a part of it. I want to take this oppurtunity to say congratulations to my cousin Joe and his gorgeous new wife, Charlotte. Thank you so much for letting us share your perfect day with you and I wish you all the best.

PS: I am now totally wedding broody. Sorry Bear.
